DeltaMath can be used as a supplemental tool assigned to individual classes. To set up a class a teacher only needs to use the "Tools" menu and "Manage Students and Classes."
Add students to the class by either distributing your class code or copying the link associated to your class and distributing the link to students. Students can register by siging in with their Google classroom login at the linked page.
DeltaMath includes modules rated from Elementary through Calculus and Computer Science to distribute to students. When you create assignments you may need to narrow the scope by year/subject and select the assignment from there. I've selected "Pre-Calculus" for the example above.
Once you select your modules you will be given a list of skills to use from the module. Use the skills list to decide what to assign to your class. For this example I added "Find Average Rate of Change from Table" and Find Average Rate of Change from Equation" to the desired skills list. I've also included the default settings menu to show how to select the number of problems of that type as well as other options available.
The next step in the "Create Assignment" process is setting a due date. As part of this step you can also set a "late date" that allows students to receive partial credit for late work.
When students login they are taken to a page that shows their classes, upcoming assignments, completed assignments, and the two built-in calculators.
Once a student opens an assignment they are shown the skills on the left side of the page with problems listed on the main section of the page.
As they answer questions they will see a graphic on the top of the page showing their progress through this "skill".
As the student works through the skills evaluation DeltaMath gives examples and multiple attempts based on the assignment settings. If the penalty for missing a question is "1 off" then a missed question will move the students completion rate back by one.
Once the student completes the number of questions assigned they will be given the opportunity to continue working on the assigned skills or return to the homepage.
When the student returns to the homepage they will see a list of completed assignments with grades, skills, and due dates available to view freely.
